Devika Pandey, MAL
Devika Pandey is currently the Program Coordinator and Project Lead for the Digital Skills for Youth Program (DS4Y), at the University of Calgary. Digital Skills for Youth is an initiative of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. It is a part of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Strategy and aligns with the government’s Innovation and Skills Plan. The role involves training recent unemployed and underemployed youth in digital skills, coaching them in their career development, and finally placing them into internships.
For the majority of her career, Devika has worked at post-secondary institutions in various capacities - recruitment, admissions, employer relations, career advising, and now managing a federal govt. wage subsidy program. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion initiatives and currently works alongside some fabulous diversity champions to develop and facilitate global awareness and inclusion workshops across campus. She also co-leads a Diversity and Equity COP and is certified to facilitate two inventories - IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory) and the ICS (Intercultural Conflict Inventory).
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Commerce from Mount Allison University (New Brunswick), and a Certificate in HR Management, and is also currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Leadership at Royal Roads University.
